2024 Primary Election Watch: How To Find Your Voting Location In Los Angeles

Hundreds of vote centers and ballot drop box locations are open to registered voters throughout Los Angeles County.

As California’s March 5 primary election draws closer, Los Angelenos looking to cast a ballot can vote in-person at one of the hundreds of vote centers or ballot drop box locations open and available to registered voters throughout their communities.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk lists 119 countywide vote centers and more than 400 Ballot Drop Box locations. According to election officials, in-person voting in this election began on February 24, with vote centers open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through March 4.

Vote centers will open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.

California requires all voters to be registered and to vote in person or return mail-in ballots via mail or by returning the ballot to a vote-by-mail drop box.

Voters who missed the registration deadline can fill out a conditional registration form at a vote center. Once electron officials confirm eligibility, the ballot will be tallied. According to state law, results for write-in presidential candidates and all other write-in candidates will be published on April 12.

Appearing on the ballot will be a certified list of write-in candidates, including party nominations for president, statewide and local candidates racing for an open U.S. Senate to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein in Washington, and a number of ballot measures.

The results will determine the top two candidates to advance in the November election.

Voters can find the list of certified write-in candidates posted on the California Secretary of State’s website and at polling locations and voter centers posted by county election officials.

Data from the California Secretary of State’s office shows more than 22 million registered voters have already received ballots in the mail, and at least 1.4 million have already been returned.
